Hard-fought victory

CONGRATULATIONS to the Labasa side for getting their first win of the season! A goal from Melvin Mani secured three points at home against a brave and spirited Nadroga side. I commend the Babasiga Lions for maintaining their unbeaten run in the DPL and being the lone unbeaten team in the competition.

Coach Master Ravneel is doing well, and the boys are finding their rhythm and winning combination. On the other hand, Lautoka and Nadi ended Ba and Suva’s unbeaten run in the DPL competition. Their win has added spice to the DPL competition and opened up the race for the top two positions for the O-League competition.

As the competition takes a break, we look forward to round five with vigour and enthusiasm as Labasa will face a fired-up Nadi side. This weekend fans will cheer for their teams who will compete at the Muslim and Sanatan IDC tournaments.

Finally, the Voice of Football Raymond ‘The Great’ Stoddart and Radio Mirchi must be commended for bringing football matches live for fans who can’t make it to the ground.
