Prakash says Navua needs to work hard
THE Rewa football has moved its focus to an unpredictable Nadroga side in round five of the Digicel Premier League this weekend.
Coach Rodick Singh says they will not underestimate the Nadroga side in their clash this Sunday.
“They are always unpredictable and can fight back at any time and they will surely put up a tough battle against us,” the former Rewa rep said.
“Playing against them will not be easy because they will want to beat us since they haven’t won any game.
“We know the game will be intense but we have started with the early preparation because we want to win.
“We are going to put up a star-studded side because the match will be competitive where we will play Nadroga after five years and in five years things change and I’m sure that a lot in the Nadroga team has changed. “Their performance, the way they approach the game and every little thing must have changed.
“We have to work on putting up an intense match where we give them a tough time and get the win. “The boys have been working hard and are showing positive progress during training which gives us a hope to win.”
The Delta Tigers registered its first win in the DPL against Navua in round four two weeks ago after losing to Suva 0-1, drew against Lautoka and Labasa and sit on sixth place in the points table.
THE Navua football side has a daunting task when they host Ba in round five of the Digicel Premier League.
Coach Amit Prakash says they need to work hard to tackle the DPL table leaders this Sunday.
“We have to work on our finishing which I am much concerned about,” said Prakash.
He says the team needs to start scoring goals and winning games in order to be in a better position on the competition points table.
“Goal scoring is still a problem for Navua, because we have been missing a lot of opportunities in front of the goal.”
Prakash says the league will only get more competitive and getting out of the bottom place on the points standing is a must. The Navua v Online IT Solutions Ba side will be played at the Uprising Sports Center in Pacific Harbour at 3pm.
