Ba demolishes Suva in women’s league

- By NOA BIUDOLE

THE Ba women’s football team sent out a strong message to rivals in the Digicel-sponsored league after thrashing Suva 7-0 yesterday.

The westerners were in devastating form outplaying the southerners to stamp their mark as the Fijian football queen.

THE Ba women's football team continued its devastating form with a 7-0 drumming of Suva at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.

Head coach Naomi Regu said the visitors had been adamant to set a platform this season to stamp their mark in the Digicel Super Women's League.

“Every week it's the same message and that is to play every game like a final, but at the same time don't let it get to your head and respect your opponents,” Regu said after the win.

Regu said she was extremely proud of her players as they competed to prove their spot every day.

"Every player knows their role and doesn't overdo what is expected of them.

"We still have a few games to go and look forward to the next big game against Rewa."
