FOUR Fijian companies received an overwhelming response for their products during the Fine Food New Zealand earlier last week.

According to the Fiji Consulate General & Trade Commission – Australia and New Zealand, the companies - Panpac Distributors, Da Fruta (Icefruit Fiji), Bula Treats (Koula Kava Fiji) and Island Style PNB, showcased their products in New Zealand’s leading food service, food retail and hospitality trade event.

The Fiji Consulate General & Trade Commission-Australia and New Zealand office participated at the trade event for the first time as part of its efforts to continue supporting Fiji’s food and beverage sector, and promoting trade relations between Fiji and New Zealand.

According to the office the food expo provided a unique opportunity for the businesses to connect with owners, managers and buyers from the aforementioned sectors.

“Our Auckland based team was overwhelmed by the positive feedback the brands received from the attendees. D Fruta’s fruit pulp packet, which are grown in Fiji all natural with no added sugar, caught the attention of several buyers within the hospitality sector,” stated the office.

It was also mentioned that Bula Treats’ Koula Kava was a huge success among a number of highend hotels that welcome many Pacific guests.

Finally, both island Style’s coconut peanut butter, and PanPac’s tuna and alcohol beverage range were a big hit with category managers from major retailers and food service’s companies.
