Bank introduces digital recharge platform
VODAFONE and Inkk customers can now purchase prepaid top ups from BRED Fiji Connect App.
This comes after a collaboration between BRED Bank (Fiji) and Vodafone Fiji.
According to a joint press release customers could top up at any time of the day and they could also top up Vodafone or Inkk mobile for their families or friends using BRED Fiji connect web or smartphone application.
BRED Bank (Fiji) chief executive officer Thierry CHARRASGILLOT said BRED Fiji Connect was constantly evolving and they had introduced new features in every iteration of the platform.
“With the release of Version 63, I am very pleased to announce the availability of Vodafone and Inkk top ups on BRED Fiji Connect,” he said.
“This new feature brings added convenience to BRED customers. Unlike other Internet banking transactions, top up purchases through BRED
Fiji Connect does not have a transaction fee.
“So apart from added convenience, this is another reason customer can use BRED Fiji Connect for mobile top ups.”
BRED Fiji Connect was said to be an integral part of the business through which the bank delivered their global strategy of “Banking Without Distance” therefore it was constantly improving and enhancing the service with latest technologies.
According to the bank this was the only internet banking application in Fiji which had biometric capabilities – allowing their customers safe and easy sign-in as well as transaction validation through fingerprint authentication and/or facial recognition.

Prasad said Vodafone welcomed this collaboration with BRED Bank taking the next step in making lives more convenient for Fijians.
“‘On the go’ accessibility to services is what the new generation of tech-savvy consumers demand,” he said.
“We are therefore pleased to offer this convenient top-up to both our customers through this partnership. The Top Up option, by default, is available for all Vodafone and Inkk prepay numbers as well as service-enabled postpay numbers with ability to top-up.
“Cashless and digital payment is the new norm and many Fijians are now more comfortable doing transactions online.”
