A-G outlines requirements for $360 assistance

- By JALE DAUCAKACAKA

FIJIANS applying for the second round of the $360 government unemployment assistance next week must apply only through prepaid SIM cards registered under their names.

Attorney-General and Minister for Economy

Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said unlike the first round in which people could apply on behalf of their relatives, Government would only process applications to those registered with their own SIM cards.

“Having a SIM under your name does not mean you have to go and buy a phone, but you can get a

SIM under your name,” he said.

“If you had applied on a relative’s behalf previously, this time, they must register a SIM card under their own name and make the application under their name.”

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said applications for the cash assistance will open at 9am on Monday, October 11 and will close at 5pm on Friday October 15.

“Applications with incorrect details will not be accepted and no leeway will be given as done in the first round of the cash assistance.

“Please ensure that you provide your correct details as we will not accept changes afterwards.”

Mandatory information required includes the following: dial *161#, full name, birth registration number or citizenship number, date of birth, Tax Identification Number (TIN), FNPF number, if any, voter identification number, home address, declaration to confirm if the applicant has received his/her first and second jab of COVID-19 vaccine (Yes or No); If Yes, provide the place of vaccination; Consent for Fijian Government to access applicants vaccination details (yes or no); and statutory declaration to confirm that all information provided is correct.
