Executives’ conference is back on

- By MONIKA SINGH

WITH travel restrictions lifted and business operations back to almost normal, the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation’s Top Executive Conference (TOPEX) 2021 is back on.

The event is scheduled to be held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on November 12 and 13.

FCEF chief executive officer Kameli Batiweti said the theme for the conference was still the same “Resilient Businesses, Ready for Tomorrow, 2030. #TOPEX Speaks 2030.”

“#TOPEX Speaks: Resilient Businesses, ready for tomorrow, 2030. Resilient means one, who is able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions. We are told that this pandemic will stay around for a little while. The speakers will share some of the learnings and best practices that they had learnt and implemented in the businesses they run during this pandemic,” he said.

He said FCEF’s members were very keen to attend the conference, not only to get out of their homes to interact and network with CEOs, MDs and senior leaders of the businesses, but to also listen to some great speakers that are going to speak at the TOPEX.”

Mr Batiweti said some of the major points of discussions would look at the global economic outlook, especially as we were moving into 2030.

“We will look at what the future of work will look like, look at the aspects of corporate health and wellbeing, investment opportunities in Fiji and listen to some tourism experts speak on what the tourism sector will look like in the next couple of years as we ‘sail’ towards 2030.

“There will be opportunities provided for participants to ask questions and provide their feedback during the sessions and at the end of the conference.”
