104 on drink charges
ATOTAL of 104 people were arrested throughout the country on Friday and Saturday nights for being drunk and disorderly.
One person was arrested on a drunken-driving charge.
Of the 104, 44 were in the Southern Division, 23 in the Western Division, 21 in the Eastern and 16 in the Northern Division.
Pressure groups seek fare concessions The Regional Passenger Transport Association of Fiji, a consumer group that claims to have 1000 members is pressing for the introduction of concession bus tickets and sub-stage fares.
Association secretary, David Raja, of Tamavua, said he was writing to the Transport Control Board asking it to put the measures into effect.

Government bans Air Pacific strike
The government yesterday intervened and declared a strike by Air Pacific employees illegal, 10 hours after they had walked off their jobs.
In an extraordinary edition of the Fiji Royal Gazette, the Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations, Mohammed Ramzan exercised powers vested in him under the Trade Disputes Act and banned the strike. No Air Pacific flights, both domestic and international were seriously affected by the strike.

New look list for coalition
Only five of the sitting Opposition MPs are in a new-look National Federation Party-Labour Coalition line-up of candidates for the 1987 general elections.
They are Messrs Harish Sharma, Temo Sukanaivalu and Navin Patel of NFP and Dr Satendra Nandan and Devendra Singh of Labour.
