Extraordinary rest
I GUESS some decided to take full advantage of the extra long weekend and tested their maximum potential.
On the flip side, that would require an extraordinary rest period as well.
One had enough of the snoring around the locality and wondered who were the “culprits” until it finally came through.
DNA testing.

Year of jab
FLOYD Robinson’s descriptions of the year 2021 (FT 24/12/21) as year of COVID and year of masks alerts us a lot for our safety and our wellbeing.
Another addition could be the year of jab.
Let’s pray the year 2022 to be the year of hope, joy with recovery and normalcy.
God bless us all.

Passing of an era
HOW was he ever a threat to whom, who controlled the military and police force?

What a loss
IT is very sad to note that one of our own who did so much for the country has passed away in exile.
What a shame?

Any remorse
I WONDER if those who exiled Prof Brij Lal have any remorse now that the professor has passed on.
Or are their hearts still stone cold. ALLEN LOCKINGTON

Local understudy
ONE can understand the reluctance of the FRU to select a local coach when you have big names such as Ben Gollings in contention.
Fuli has done a great job with the girls so let’s not disturb him now.
We need the girls to reach for the sky.
Later on the FRU could consider a local understudy to Ben.

Sevens vision
NOW that FRU has selected former England 7s skipper Ben Gollings as coach of the men’s 7s team, it is important that we respect their decision. Ben Gollings has a mammoth task ahead of him.
Both overseas coaches, Ben Ryan and Gareth Baber, gifted Fijians scintillating wins on the HSBC WRSS circuit and the overall HSBC WRSS titles.
They also gifted gold medals from the Olympic Games.
All the best Gollings!
