Company to assist Fijians through export brand Zorganic
ZONAH United aims to assist or support 150 rural women with employment opportunities by 2022.
According to a statement the company plans to assist these women through a premium Fijian export brand “Zorganic” which would be available in local supermarkets.
It was said this would create more employment opportunities in Fiji especially during a time when the country was facing a challenging time because of the pandemic.
“Our focus is to support, empower and create employment opportunities for our marginalised rural women who were single mothers, victims, unable to read or write as well as youths from broken families and small rural farmers,” it was stated.
“The support helps them to generate consistent income to improve their standard of living, putting smiles on faces of their children.
“We are proud to say that Zonah United supports women to take up various roles in the company, from truck drivers to loaders and farmers.”
It was also stated through the local Fijian brand, Zorganic, the company wanted to help create a sustainable, poverty free Fiji for all.
Zonah United was a producer, processor and exporter of Fijian grown spices and valueadded spice products in Fiji.
The company said they had come this far simply by the passion for what they do for the Fijian community.
Zonah United was a 100 per cent Fijianowned company with the vision to develop the rural communities in Fiji.
The company stated they were grateful towards the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport (MCTTT) for the great initiative and support towards helping advocate premium Fijian export products to be available locally in supermarkets.
