EXPECT an entertaini­ng and thrilling encounter when Rewa and Lautoka meet this weekend in a two-leg home and away series in the OFC Champions League qualifiers, says Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf.

“It’s going to be a good game, entertaini­ng,” the CEO said.

“Both teams play a quality game and we’re all going to enjoy it.”

Lautoka as defending champions of the Digicel Premier League last season while Rewa as runner-up will battle for a spot in the OFC Champions League finals which will be played in New Zealand in August.

Yusuf said both teams were taking a serious approach for the qualifiers.

“Both teams have been preparing well for the clash as we have seen Rewa in camp from last week and Lautoka started its training last week and had marched in camp his week which shows how serious the teams are,” Yusuf said

‘It’s going to be a like a final as both teams have been impressive this season despite mixed results.”

The two-leg home and away series will commence this Friday with Lautoka hosting Rewa at Churchill Park at 7pm.

The second match will be hosted by Rewa at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on the 19th at 3pm.

The winner of the national playoff will meet the victors from New Caledonia, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti and New Zealand’s Auckland City FC in the finals tournament.

The winning team in the finals tournament will represent the region in the FIFA Club World Cup to be played in New Zealand in August,

The ticket price for adults are $5 flat and child under 12 is free.
