1. The Hobbit House – Wales, UK

This 645 sq. feet tiny home is straight out of and consists of special features such as compost toilet, straw bales in the floor, walls and roof for super-insulation and easy building, a fridge that is cooled by air coming undergroun­d through foundation­s.

2. The Leg apartment —Barcelona, Spain

This 595 sq. feet — 55 sq. metres house consists of a sheltered parking spot built into the house and a loft area that serves as a children’s playroom.

4. Tiny tack House – Snohomish, WA, US

Home owners Chris and Malissa Tack were fascinated with the idea of a tiny house. The photograph­er and 3D designer set out to create their own mobile tiny dream home.

This tiny tack 140 sq. feet home all electricit­y sourced from solar power, has its own fresh water tank and multi-purpose features like a living room bench that doubles as an extra bed.

5. The Raven loft – Pender Island, Canada

This 165 sq. feet raven loft house perched in the pines is the brainchild of Geoff de Ruiter is perfect for a minimalist or someone who chooses to live a more green friendly lifestyle.

This eco-friendly home states that majority of the materials used were recycled and repurposed, heated by an electric baseboard and lighting provided for by two 100-watt light bulbs and six candles.

6. The windy city’s tiniest – Chicago, US

This tiny home was built a couple of years after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 and is nestled in between stone buildings and brick townhouses in the Chicago neighbourh­ood of Old Town.

The 780 sq. feet little home is considered a historical landmark with a white picket fence and gorgeous front deck.

7. The Nautilus house – Mexico city

This psychedeli­c sea shell-shaped home was created by architect Javier Senosiain who fashioned the home according to the tenets of bio-architectu­re.

It is stated that the idea of the building is based on natural principles of organic forms in accordance with nature, and avoids harmful materials and sharp corners.

This funky dwelling was constructe­d for a family of four who were looking for something unconventi­onal, which they certainly got.

This small dwelling includes a grass mat leads to the different rooms of the house, earthquake-proof and an entry cut into a wall of colorful stained glass.

9. The smallest house in Italy – ROME This 75 sq. feet was designed and built by architect and designer Marco Pierazzi as he saw the potential in an abandoned, one-room alleyway house just steps away from Roman landmarks like the Pantheon and Saint Peter’s Square.

After some many renovation­s, he lived there with his wife until their child was born.
