Tabadamu leads Savusavu 7s race
FIJIAN 7s champion Tabadamu leads the race to the main prize of the Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s tournament in the next fortnight.
The star-studded Tabadamu team is the defending champion on the annual event.
“The defending champion of the Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s has now been included in the tournament after three men’s teams which have already registered and paid their registration have to be dropped for not complying with the COVID-19 vaccination criteria,” tournament director Malakai Yamaivava said.
“The tournament is enforcing the ‘No Jab-No Play, No Jab-No entry’ and this also applies to spectators who will come to Ratu Ganilau Park to watch the four-day tournament from July 13 to 16.
“We have two spots to fill in the men’s competition and interested teams should quickly register. We have 16 youths and four women’s teams confirmed for rugby 7s and 16 women’s netball, eight women’s volleyball and 10 men’s volleyball teams confirmed.”
