Army aims to restore lost glory

- By PAULINI CURUQARA Compiled by ZANZEER SINGH

THE Republic of the Fiji Military Forces men’s volleyball team is looking at restoring its lost glory in the Sukuna Bowl competition at the end of this month.

The team has been competing in various tournaments around the country to build-up to the Fijians security forces’ annual tournament.

Team manager Cama Vosarogo said wins they had accomplished during the year had set the platform to the Sukuna Bowl competition.

“We have a good team and our training has been intense,” Vosarogo said.

“We will keep that intensity until the Sukuna Bowl.”

He thanked the executives of Raiwai Volleyball Association for accepting them in their weekly competitions.

“The weekly games provide competition to our team, so it helps identify the areas that we have to improve on.

“Having teams such as Rebels and other top teams in the Rawai association helps us in our preparation.” He said they had been facing a lot of challenges. “There will be challenges, but that will motivate us in achieving our goal.”
