Walker excited to share stage
MITCH Walker is a professional international model, with an array of experience working with fashion and hospitality brands.
Walker will be visiting Fiji for the first time, and will join Fiji’s finest model cohort at Style Fiji 2022.
He says he looks forward to participating in the event, and to contributing to the cause for which Style Fiji is collaborating with Fiji Cancer Society this year.
Style Fiji caught up with Walker to share some light on his modeling career.
How long have you been involved in the fashion industry? And has it always been as a model?
I’ve just hit my 10-year anniversary in the industry as a model.
During that time, I’ve had the privilege of meeting an array of inspiring people; models, creatives, stylists, photographers and crew alike.

Any experience on set where I have an opportunity to collaborate and create captivating content is memorable for me.

It’s such an honour to work alongside creatives who are pioneering positive change in the industry.
Have you been to Fiji before? This will be my first time visiting the shore of Fiji.
I am beyond thrilled to experience all it has to offer.
Style Fiji is the Pacific’s most prestigious fashion charity.
Are you arriving with any expectations of the event?
I approach all areas of my life with an open mind.
The only expectation would be that we all have an incredible time at the event and exceed projections for creating awareness and donations.
You will be walking alongside some of Fiji’s best models, are you looking forward to the experience?
I am immensely looking forward to sharing the stage with Fiji’s finest.
Do you believe that fashion has the power to give back?
Most definitely.
The fashion industry has such a profound influence on society.
That presence has the power to inspire people and create positive change on a global scale.
Where do you see yourself in the coming years within the global industry?
As my career progresses, there is a growing interest in advancing my skills as a photographer and seeing what that is like on the other side of the camera.
Wherever my career projects are, I will make sure there is meaning and emphasis to my work and the projects I am involved with.
I, too, want to spread positivity, create change and inspire others in any way I can.
Is there anything in particular that you’re looking forward to at Style Fiji?
Most of all, I am looking forward to proudly represent Fiji fashion designers in this event.
