‘An excellent forum’

- FIJI COMMERCE AND EMPLOYERS FEDERATION

JUST two days away from this years Top Executive Conference (TOPEX), the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation Board president Vinay Narsey is looking forward to welcoming all delegates for the conference starting on Wednesday 24th November 2022.

Mr Narsey says over the years, TOPEX has evolved to become the most important business conference dedicated to new and emerging issues faced by businesses across all sectors in Fiji.

It has kept up with the global conversations of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), climate change and resilience and more importantly, financial sustainability, compliance and ethical governance.

In previous years, TOPEX has provided an excellent forum for exchanging information and discussion on a wide variety of business-related topics, representing the latest developments, technological disruptions and future trends.

“TOPEX 2022 will be a sequel to that of TOPEX 2021, as we now settle back into some of the normalcy pre-covid and continue on the conversation of the what, where, how and when as we progress to a lot of new beginnings,’’ he said.

The theme for this year’s TOPEX is “Strategies, Synergies,

Solutions for Sustainable Recovery: 2030”. As the premier and recognized employer organization, The Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation understands the importance of having relevant topics that reflect the current business environment locally and globally – an opportunity to listen to real life events.

This year’s program is rich and varied with eight sessions consisting of a total of 26 speakers, of which 4 are International speakers and the inclusion a parallel session, the first of its kind at TOPEX. In light of the efforts of the Fijian Sustainable Bond Framework that was launched at COP27 in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt,

TOPEX is committed towards lowering its carbon footprints to support Fiji’s commitment to lowering its emissions.

FCEF TOPEX delegates will be invited to support the cause through a Mangrove planting activity with the Chief Guest His Excellency the President Planting a tree at the Shangri-La Yanuca Island on the first day of TOPEX.

“I know that the success of the conference depends ultimately on the many people who have worked with us in planning and organizing both the technical program and supporting social arrangements. Recognition should go to the organizing committee members who have all worked extremely hard for the details of important aspects of the conference programs and social activities, he added.

“The choice of a venue for this year’s conference is set against the idyllic scenery Fiji is known for, it lays the foundation for the opportunity to strengthen our networks, establish new partnerships and chart a regenerative way forward. I look forward to meeting you at the Shangri-La Yanuca Island for TOPEX 2022 and to sharing a most pleasant, interesting and productive conference.”
