Musa says stage set for football battle

- Message for Aiyaz Musa chairman of the grounds committee

THE stage is all set for the four days of thrilling matches at 2022 All in One Cakes & Restaurant Pacific Community Cup at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park.

As the chairman of the grounds committee, it is my absolute honour and privilege to welcome you all to the 7th edition of the Pacific Community Cup.

The Nadi Town Council has worked overtime to set up the stage for the tournament and Prince Charles Park is ready to host the tournament.

The management of Nadi Town Council promised the venue will be at its pristine when the tournament proper kicks off on November 24 and we can see the effort put in by them.

Pacific Community Cup is always the most awaited and anticipated tournament with the five best teams from Fiji and three overseas teams will battle for the prestigious title.

Hosting a tournament of this caliber and nature will also be beneficial for businesses in Nadi as a large turnout of spectators is expected over the four days.

To add more flavor to the tournament and to give exposure to our women footballers the fans will also witness the semi-finals and final of the 2022 Digicel Women’s IDC at the same venue.

Defending champion Lautoka is in Group B with Suva, Labasa, and NZFFI All Stars while Group A has AUFFI All Stars, Ba FC, Nadi FC, and USA AllStars.

Needless to say, this is a very effective way for us to assist our Government in the development and progress of our country and show the whole world what we are about as after all football is a sport that unites all the different races and brings people from different walks of life together.

May the best team win 2022 All in One Cakes & Restaurant Pacific Community Cup and best wishes to all as we come together in the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship in the Jet set Town.

Thank You.
