BEYOND Limits Known (BLK) has re-opened their outlet in Lautoka with an investment of over $10,000 that has created employment for three people.

BLK sales manager Donasiano Kalou said the popular sports apparel manufacturer was now diversifying into bula and corporate wear.

“We are not sticking to sports wear only, we are also making customized pillow cases and curtains.

“The hotels and resorts are now ordering suluvata or sarong from us,” he said.

Mr Kalou said the reason behind hotels and resorts wanting suluvata made by BLK was due to their service, quality of the fabric along with the images that was thrown out in the print.

“We are also making banners for any occasion. Whether be it for funerals, birthday or retirement — whoever needs a banner, we would provide it.”

He said after a turbulent phase during the pandemic and with the company going into receivership in Australia during 2016, they had bounced back.

“After the receivership, the business was slow and we had to close our outlet in Lautoka, however, through our board of directors and our general manager’s steady leadership during those difficult times, we managed to come through with more positivity and resilience.”

Mr Kalou said Kingdom Sports Apparel, their parent body was the sole manufacturer, distributor and retailer of BLK brand in

Fiji.

“In the future, we want to open more outlets, maybe in Vanua Levu.”
