Staying true to Fiji’s nature

- By ANA MADIGIBULI

THE Beach Club Wailoaloa stays true to the ease and calm nature of Fiji. The club since opening its doors in November 27, 2021 offers tourists and locals a space to unwind and soak up the true ambience of Fiji.

Celebrating their one-year anniversary, The Beach Club Wailoaloa has seen tremendous growth not only in terms of business but also in the opportunity of employing Fijians.

The club is operated by its two directors, Nathaniel and Lara Khan.

The couple who operated a short-term rental management company for the past five years felt that they could go further to providing their guests with food and beverages when they visited, so when they were offered a management contract with one of the restaurants on The Beach Club Wailoaloa strip in Nadi they quickly jumped at the opportunity to grow their business.

Today they operate their own bar and restaurant and they boldly did this in the midst of a pandemic.

The club's director Lara Khan said since opening in November the business has quickly grown.

"We needed to employ more staff to keep up with the crowd of people that come in every day," she said. "We have achieved so much and we can't be more grateful for all the support from our customers and suppliers."

The Beach Club Wailoaloa employs 55 staff and they are proud of their exceptional team.

The Beach Club Wailoaloa offers the authentic Fiji vibe that cannot be found anywhere else.

"We offer )a space to let your hair down, to enjoy the sunset and get good food and drinks while you sink your feet in the sand and breathe in Fiji's fresh air," Mrs Khan said.

"We offer live entertainment every weekend with the best of bands Fiji has to offer and we offer a space where locals and tourists feel equal and at home." She said they wanted to create a space that was the epitome of Fiji.

"We wanted to stay true to the relaxed vibes and the friendly smiles."

With celebrating their one year anniversary, Mrs Khan said they were so happy.

"A lot of our pre-opening staff are still here with us today, that makes us so happy that our staff enjoy what we're doing here," she said.

The Beach Club Wailoaloa team and management celebrated their one-year anniversary last Saturday.
