New Year’s resolution
I OFFER sincere thanks to The Fiji Times for devoting space in its editorial of January 3, 2023, to the New Year Resolution I proposed for Fiji.
I’m going to repeat it here: “We resolve as citizens of this country to see beyond those things that ship hoping that FFP would win the 2022 General Elections and he would sit with the government side. God willing, his FF party lost and he will be sitting on the opposition side of Parliament for another four years. Had he remained loyal to his own party (SODELPA), he would have definitely become a minister in this PA/NFP/SODELPA Government. I sincerely sympathise with him. have kept us apart; to put behind us the hurt, the sorrow and the tragedies. We resolve to be proud of our differences, to celebrate and accept them as part of a national identity that gives us the foundation and strength for remaking Fiji.

Secondly, Mr Bulitavu should know that the high cost of goods and services in Fiji is not a result of this Government. It is a result of the inappropriate economic policies and miscalculations of the previous government which were unfortunately inherited by this Government.
