Injera and Nadruku inducted
Collins Injera and Noa Nadruku were inducted into the Fiji Hall of Fame during the Coral Coast 7s tournament at Lawaqa Park. Injera, who is known as the Shujaa legend, is the top try scorer for Kenya’s 7s team and holds second place on the all-time try-scoring list on the circuit, having scored 279 tries. In addition to his induction into the Hall of Fame, Injera served as the tournament ambassador. Joining Injera was Noa Nadruku, who was a star of the 7s team in the ‘90s and played for the Canberra Raiders in NRL. Nadruku was the top try-scorer in NRL in 1993 and 1996, and won the 1994 Grand Final with the Raiders. Injera and Nadruku had successful rugby careers, and I’m glad they were recognised for their contribution. They joined rugby 7s legends such as David Campese, Lote Tuqiri, Waisale Serevi, the late Jonah Lomu, Viliame Satala and Karl Te Nana in the star-studded Hall of Fame. All the best to the duo!
