Wave of changes
WITH the wave of changes in 2023 the road to the Rugby World Cup 15s is only 8 months.
Whilst the focus is on the team and now a new coach, can we also review the war cry Cibi and make it more passionate and appealing.
Just like the All Blacks who have a native Maori leading the challenge it will be more inspiring if a chief can also be part of the Flying Fijian mix to lead the Cibi and simply inspire the team from the very start.
I have full confidence with this change we will take on the best in rugby and who knows our misery of never playing the game to the 80th minute will happen for a change

Lessons in school
I FIRMLY believe the curriculum in lower primary school classes should change.
Instead of teaching maths, English, and science, teachers should teach the little ones more about Fiji culture, arts, how to express oneself, self-defence and values.
Basic teaching of subjects such as Maths and English should start from Class 3.

Students and exams
AS we congratulate all the successful students in FE8E (FT 2/2) let’s not overlook the reasons for those who could not make it in the year 2022 because of COVID and other reasons beyond our control.
It’s good to note the MOE assures the security of places for all into Year 9 irrespective of their results. Failure is a temporary detour, not the end. Education remains key to success towards opening many doors.

Business as usual
ARTI Verma (FT 3/2) thoughtfully wonders “if there would have been so many resignations from FF candidates (appointees) if the party had won the election”?
No, there wouldn’t have been any resignations.
It would have been business as usual with the FF mob staying parked in their positions to enjoy the lucrative perks.
