How to hear clearly again

-

IT'S a worldwide fact that (according to WHO - the World Health Organisation), one in every four people over the age of 60 years will have significant hearing loss.

This increases to one in every two people once their age is in the mid-seventies.

That level of hearing loss means that they are not easily able to converse with friends and family - and many withdraw from social activities due to the embarrassment of not being able to understand normal conversation.

Fortunately, in Fiji, we now have access to world class, state of the art hearing instrumentation through South Pacific Hearing Aids.

Director and Audio metrist Tom Shepherd is working closely with Starkey Laboratories to bring the very best in hearing rehabilitation to the people of Fiji.

Tom says that Starkey is a privately owned, American hearing aid manufacturer - one of the largest hearing aid manufacturers in the world, and they produce innovative, quality instruments that are designed to work in the sometimes hot and humid conditions we experience locally.

Starkey are so confident of their highquality hearing aids that they offer a threeyear warranty!

Both Starkey and South Pacific Hearing Aids have collaborated in order to bring these high-quality aids to the Fiji Islands at pricing that removes the need to travel for this type of hearing assistance.

South Pacific Hearing Aids first registered as a company back in 2008 and Tom was visiting from Australia many years prior to that date, helping with extending the provision of professional hearing care first brought into Fiji by Eric Heideman.

Tom is now a permanent resident of Fiji and offers the very same quality of hearing care and instrumentation currently available in Australia, New Zealand or the United States.
