Accountant walks away with $55,000 major prize
AN accountant from Lautoka was handed his $55,000 prize this week thanks to a promotion by TotalEnergies that closed in January of this year. The company also awarded two consolation prizes at their head office in Suva.
TotalEnergies managing director Dennis Michael Cuaycong said, “We try to hold such promotions twice a year to keep the interest and the satisfaction of the customers. And we received very good participation.”
The cheque of $55,000, 1 tonne of fuel and a 1-year supply of fuel were handed over to winners Riztiyaz Ali of Suva, Shafeel Shairaaz Ali and Emosi Sailo, respectively.
Winner of the grand prize, Mr Riztiyaz Ali said he intended to use his prize as an investment to secure his future.
“I got the call that I won, and I was driving, and I parked my car on the side of the road to talk. It was so sudden and $55,000 is a huge amount. I had to wait for a while and think about it and to process it in my mind,” he added.
Second prize winner Mr Shafeel Ali said, “In future I will keep on trying in more TotalEnergies promotions. They give good promotions with good prizes when compared to competitors.” Third place winner Mr Sailo said, “I’m happy and thankful. I was a bit surprised but after a while I absorbed it in, and I am thankful to TotalEnergies for the opportunity and the prize.”
Mr Cuaycong highlighted an upcoming promotion related to the 2023 Rugby World Cup. As an official sponsor of the Rugby World Cup 2023, he said the company was eager to hold such a promotion and send a few lucky winners to France to witness the games.
This promotion is expected to launch soon and details for entry will be announced upon launch.
