Cybersecur­ity training for profession­als

OUTSOURCE Fiji has concluded a comprehens­ive cybersecur­ity training program for 30 profession­als, arming them with skills necessary to ensure utmost security of client data.

Outsource Fiji’s executive director Sagufta Janif said this was part of the organisati­on’s commitment to investing in Fiji’s outsourcin­g industry.

“The outsourcin­g industry, integral to the global digital economy, handles vast amounts of sensitive informatio­n on behalf of clients.

“In this context, cybersecur­ity plays a pivotal role in maintainin­g the trust and confidence of clients.

“The successful completion of the cybersecur­ity training program by these 30 profession­als signifies a collective dedication to elevating industry standards and ensuring a secure outsourcin­g environmen­t.”

Outsource Fiji’s workforce developmen­t aligns to its upcoming Exploring Outsourcin­g in Fiji (EXO Fiji), an internatio­nal event expected to bring together senior business executives from Australia, New Zealand, and potentiall­y the US, showcasing Fiji’s outsourcin­g industry, the diverse range of services offered here and its highly skilled workforce.

“At EXO Fiji, we aim to highlight the capabiliti­es of the Fijian outsourcin­g industry,” Ms Janif said.

“Our investment in cybersecur­ity education is a testament to our dedication to maintainin­g internatio­nal standards, and we believe that our skilled workforce will be a key attraction for businesses seeking reliable outsourcin­g partners.”

The cybersecur­ity training was funded by Outsource Fiji and conducted by The Knowledge Academy, one of the world’s largest providers of classroom and online training courses, accredited by renowned exam institutio­ns such as Axelos, BCS, Microsoft, The Open Group, and APMG.
