I am a party man, says Radrodro

- By MERI RADINIBARAVI

I AM a party man.

Former Education Minister Aseri Radrodro says his interest will always be to see that SODELPA survives as a political party and to see that they serve the people of Fiji seamlessly.

While responding to comments made by SODELPA member Anare Jale, Mr Radrodro said it was “unfortunate” that the former party vice president chose to bring up private discussions held during Management Board meetings in 2022 where Mr Jale claimed that Mr Radrodro preferred to side with the FijiFirst party.

“It is unfortunate that Mr Jale is now sharing information pertaining to our SODELPA board meetings that’s supposed to be confidential to the party,” said Mr Radrodro.

“He knows the reasons why some comments were made the way they were.

“I am a party man. My interest will always be to see that SODELPA survives as a political party, and to see that we serve the people of Fiji seamlessly!”

Mr Radrodro said he has since formed strong partnerships with members of the Coalition Government.

“Mr Anare Jale who headed the Negotiations Committee post elections must understand I have now been a Minister serving in the Coalition Government for the last one year, and we have formed bonds and relations as colleagues.

“More importantly it is my commitment to the pledge I hold with the Coalition Government and to the people of Fiji irrespective of race, gender, religion or creed.

“This is politics, and we don’t have permanent friends or enemies!”

He said what must be constant was their commitment to serving the people of Fiji and to help improve their lives.
