Back to school
drug raids that have been carried out.
I pay credit and commend the communities’ new attitude towards eradicating drugs.
The information, which communities are coming up with, is assisting police in uprooting marijuana plants and white drugs.
The discovery of methamphetamine seems to be much more than just a police bust. It raises questions about our war against drugs and makes us think about what is likely to happen in the years to come. As a citizen of this country, I’m concerned over the drug problem, and I suggest the Coalition Government invests more in training of manpower to handle this escalating drug issue. The lives of our young ones are at stake. Imagine them encountering these white drugs - the impact on their minds and health.
Hence, the wage against drugs is not just the Coalition Government’s fight, but we all have an important role to play.
I agree we have a massive challenge before us, thus it is about time we start working together to address the issue and to get some semblance of order.
The increase in drug raids will paint a negative picture of Fiji - one which could affect the tourism industry. We need to empower people to make a difference. Everyone needs to join hands to address the drug issue!

SCHOOL is about to begin again.
The child may be physically prepared with the new uniforms, shoes, bag, lunch box, books and so on, but is the child mentally prepared, for the challenges in this new school year?
Is the burden now being taken off the shoulders of the parents and guardians, or is going back to school an added burden?
