JUDGING quickly by the headliner of an advertisement in the FT of 23/01 reading, Position Vacant, Club manager/Accountant, Northern Club, I immediately messaged a fellow letter writer in Labasa asking what the position was paying out of interest as he had affiliations to the club in the North.

He replied, “This club is in Lautoka!” Me: “Oh! Why would someone call a club Northern Club when it was in the West?”

Him: “Well! Its just like our Grand Eastern Hotel here in the North!”

I guess the creators of the names have good reasons as to their choice of names! NOLEEN BILLINGS
