Hospital gives new ‘lease of life’ to Bulou
BULOU Marisela Rokobuli is one of the true testaments of the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital’s successful patience to come out from.
Yesterday, parents of children who have been successfully operated on by the hospital flocked to the hospital to show their appreciation during the launch of the congenital heart defect awareness week.
Twelve-year-old Rokobuli was diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD) at the age of 10 and has undergone lifechanging surgery at the children’s hospital.
The dedicated medical team orchestrated a successful operation, giving Ms Rokobuli a new lease of life.
Her mother, Esther Rokobuli, expressed appreciation for the hospital staff, emphasising their exceptional care and expertise.
“I was positive that my daughter was going to walk out of that surgery with a new heart because the way we were treated by the staff at the hospital gave me reassurance that they are professionals at what they do,” she said.
She is also urging the public to prioritise their children’s health by taking advantage of the hospital’s offer of free screenings and health checkups.
“I would like to inform the public that health is available for your kids here at the Sai Prema Hospital.
“Kids are the future of tomorrow, so if you feel that there is anything wrong with your child, then make your way down to Sai Prema Hospital and at least have your child checked, just so you can know what your child is going through.”
Ms Rokobuli will celebrate her 12th birthday today, and her family is grateful to the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital for giving their daughter a new lease of life.
