Etuate loves China
AS comprehensive strategic partners, China and Fiji have fostered enduring people-to-people exchanges in various areas including education. Around 300 Fijian students have studied in China under the Chinese Government Scholarship scheme since 1996 and many of them are working in different industries to serve Fiji now.
Since Chinese New Year draws near, many Fijian students will enjoy their first Spring Festival vacation in China.

- Now learning Chinese language in Northeast Normal University, and will study Computer Science and Technology in Beijing Institute of Technology this September.

Moreover, I also thank CSC for giving me a chance to fulfil my dreams by studying here in China. I love the people, their culture, now I am studying Chinese language. It was a bit tough when we started but now it’s good and I love it.”
“Being in a new country with a different lifestyle and people has taught me a lot too. Chinese people are so hardworking and very smart, that’s what I love the most about them. Being in China everything is so accessible, buying stuff or ordering a ride, you just use your phone, you don’t have to carry cash everywhere. In addition to that, the level of security in China is so high and everyone is very protected from illegal activities.”
“I love my school, my teachers and my classmates. “I made new friends from different countries. “I love my room and all the sponsorship that the embassies from both sides and CSC are giving me.
