SITUATION
TD05F was located to the southwest of Fiji at midday today. It is expected to move further northwest out of Fiji waters later tonight. The associated northwest winds and weak trough of low pressure is expected to continue to affect the country till Wednesday. Another trough of low pressure with clouds and rain will affect the Fiji group from Thursday till Saturday Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms over the interior, northern and western parts of Vanua Levu and Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Elsewhere, fine weather apart from afternoon or evening showers. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms with heavy falls expected. Moderate northwesterly to southeasterly winds, fresh at times. Moderate to rough seas. Outlook for Thursday: Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms over most places. Showers becoming frequent and increasing to rain later in the day.
