- By ANASILINI NATOGA

FIJI Airways Fijian 7s winger Vuiviwa Naduvalo, seized the opportunity to enhance his game time and address his weaknesses by joining the Dominion Brothers 7s team for the two-day Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s tournament.

While initially expecting to play for a Fire team, the absence of a squad led Naduvalo to the Dominion Brothers, where he expressed gratitude for the chance to participate in the local 7s event and finetune his skills.

The 27-year-old is grateful to be part of the team.

“I’m happy to be part of this local 7s tournament because it gives me the chance to start again from the basic and work on my basic errors before continuing my journey in the World Sevens Series,” Naduvalo said.

“I really wanted this a game time in a local tournament,” he added.

Expressing his desire for valuable game time in a local competition, Naduvalo acknowledged the strengths of his Dominion Brothers team and their potential to represent Fiji on the international stage.

“We have a lot of good players in this team, they have good talent and can also one day wear the white jersey.

“I thank God for having this plan in my life,” he added.

Naduvalo admits his weaknesses and believes areas of weaknesses need to be rectified before they play on the world stage.

He vows to improve his defence.

“I really must work on my weaknesses on and off the field I know in the Sevens Series we shouldn’t be making silly mistakes in the series.

“For me on the field I have to improve on my defense and off the field is my spiritual life,” he added.
