Monday February 18, 1980 Thieves raid 5 schools
POLICE became concerned at a rise in raids at schools along the Suva-Nausori corridor. Five raids occurred within a week with losses totalling over $1000.
Vandals strip taxi at Kinoya
"HOOLIGANS" in Kinoya stripped parts of a taxi and attempted to set it on fire. Heavy downpour prevented extensive fire damage.

ADMITTING at Suva Court that he had been driving taxis without a driver’s license for 14 years, a man was fined $175 and disqualified from obtaining or holding a license for four years.

RESTAURATEUR who deliberately set fire to his own house to claim insurance money was jailed for 2 ½ years by the Supreme Court at Lautoka. He continues to insist he is innocent.
