Rosie does it again
FOR 50 years, Rosie Holidays dedicated its brand to providing top-notch services to international visitors who chose Fiji as their holiday destination.
The company’s remarkable commitment to ensuring continuous sustainable growth in the tourism industry has been acknowledged yet again at the ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards gala dinner over the weekend.
The Rosie Travel Group and Ahura Resorts managing director Tony Whitton said they were delighted to be recognised again at this year’s awards.
“It’s been an amazing event to be able to recognise our team,” Mr Whitton said.
“Tourism is a 24-hour industry, it takes a lot of hard work and the fact that we meet different people from all parts of the world in all different hours and being able to get them safely to their hotels.
“Our inbound brands Rosie Holidays won awards today, our conference and incentive division won awards today and our resort division Malolo Island won an award today and I think it’s a recognition of the diversity of the tourism industry.”
The local tourism expert said such accolade recognise every player in the industry and their valuable contributions to the growth of the industry.
“From the transport operators to its supported industry creating events, running tours and excursions which highly integrated with lots of moving part so to be able to recognise our team is something I’m delighted at.
“We have been providing services to the tourism and hospitality industry for 50 years.
“We started small, a tour company in 1974 and so we are celebrating our 50th anniversary and our awards tonight goes to our pioneers, my mum Rosie and Roy Whitton who’ve laid a foundation for us to be able to build a trulyworld class resort operating in a very special part of the South Pacific and we couldn’t be more blessed to be part of this amazing industry.”
