THE Nadi Bay Canoe Club and Vuda Canoe Club announced the launch of a three-year sponsorship with Simple Green.

The deal will see Simple Green become the exclusive sponsor of “Business House Regatta (West Series)” with Nadi Bay Canoe Club and Vuda Canoe Club playing host to a series of two regattas scheduled for March 16 and April 6.

The Business House Regatta (West Series) returns almost after a decade and is preparing to welcome thirty business house teams on Wailoaloa.

The deal reflects a mutual desire to advance health, heritage and environmental efforts among the broader public.

Darran Bentley Fisher, the managing director of Simple Green, said: “Collaborating with Nadi Bay Canoe Club and Vuda Canoe Club allows us to boost our commitment to supporting community engagement through our creating shared value programs.”

“We see outrigger canoeing as a sport along with other water sports as the stewards of the ocean and while our sponsorship to outrigger canoeing is in its infancy, we have committed to sponsoring this series of events for the next three years.

“This, we hope, will encourage the sport to grow its base especially a younger generation of new paddlers. We look forward to seeing the growth in the community as well as engaging a new generation of paddlers that will learn to love the sport and respect the ocean as she deserves to be respected.”

For over forty years, Simple Green has built a legacy of developing safe and innovative cleaning products in its commitment to help protect the planet.

Fisher said the sponsorship deal was an extension of its core principles.

“Through our creating shared value programs, the company pledges 50 cents towards tree planting endeavors with Mana Farms. This initiative includes the establishment of a tiri nursery aimed at supporting communities affected by coastal erosion.”

Leilani Tokalautawa, the president of Nadi Bay Canoe

Club, said: “Together with Simple Green and Vuda Canoe Club, we’re delighted to help further the collective understanding that we – people, brands and businesses – all have a responsibility to act.”

Registrations for the 2024 Simple Green Business House Outrigger Regatta (West Series) has been extended by public demand with an entry fee of $1000.00 per team.
