Giving back to the community
THE InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is committed to its Community Care Fund program as it helps support the local communities and also improves the lives of surrounding villages and people living in Natadola Bay.
All the funds collected through this initiative are to go towards the improvement and uplifting of the local community.
This fund is managed by the resort’s Sustainability Committee, which is run by volunteer staff members and tracks the progress of initiatives, considers new projects and ensures staff and guests are given the opportunity to participate.
Among other initiatives, resort team members have previously raised funds to help improve facilities at Malomalo Primary School.
Through the Community Care Fund, it has also helped connect electricity and water to the school and managed to built a kindergarten.
The $F70,000 kindergarten project, which was jointly funded by Fiji Water Foundation and donations from resort guests, now provides preschool education for the children of the surrounding areas of Sanasana, Malomalo, Naidiri and Natadola. How can you help
A donation of $F2 per room per night for our Community Care Fund program will be automatically added to your bill and 100 per cent of funds go towards the continuous improvement of the lives of residents of Sanasana Village and the community surrounding Natadola Bay.
Any funds you generously donate will be invested in four key areas; Education;
Wellbeing; Environmental sustainability; and Infrastructure.
Please let our team know if you would like this donation to be removed from your final bill.
You can also help by bringing unwanted books, stationery, toys, computers or clothing with you when you come to stay with us.
These donations will be warmly welcomed by local school children and the wider community.
