Ravalaca responds to ‘self-claimed’ Fijian prince
PLEASE no more excuses “self-claimed” Fijian prince Ubbayd Haider, if you want to fight a real boxer, I’m right here.
Those were the words of Mikaele Ravalaca after being called out by Haider, formerly known as Nathan Singh.
Ravalaca, after his knockout win over Saimoni Ratu on Saturday is preparing for his fight against Artur Subkhankulov of Russia in the next No Limit Boxing program in Australia this month.
Haider called out Ravalaca and Ratu Rakuro Daunivavana for his next fight after his points decision win over Mohammed Ali on Saturday night.
“I hope Uber driver, as I like to call him, this time will stand up like a man, a warrior, and the face of boxing that he is claiming to be and face me,” Ravalaca said.
“The last time I remember, he give an excuse had a brain concussion because he was scared of me.
“Stop dodging and face real boxers to convince that who will be the future of the sport.
“Haider wants to claim to be ‘the Fijian prince’ and is taking older opponents and inexperienced once, , no disrespect to Muhammed Ali. He is scared of prime boxers such as me.
“Haider is a very choosy opponent and all I want for him this time is he can stand by his call and face me first.
Ravalaca said Haider was opening his “big mouth that he promised to put Ali to sleep”.
“This is the real deal if only you sign the contract. You can’t hit what you can’t see. Your punch are light, I’m going to give it to you anyway you want it. Easy work — bring your promoter and let us face the reality.
“Otherwise, calling me out lacked originality and didn’t really go anywhere.”
He said he would normally do his talk in the ring, but this time, he had to use this platform because this was something that was long overdue for them to settle.
