Anxiety and a new era
Fear and anxiety
FEAR creates untold agony and misery Fear is riddled with anxiety and uncertainty
The root of fear is time
The swing from the past to the present Projecting into the future enhances anxiety
That causes fear to escalate uncertainty Fear emanates from anxiety and insecurity
When it grips the mind, the psyche is enveloped in agony
Be alert like the eyes of a fish Confront your fear with a firm fist Fear can be a tool to drive one to success It enthuses one to the path of progress Fear is a demon
All human beings are summoned Fear shall keep coming to you as a terror But you shall conquer like a darer Fear may veil your progress with darkness
But you shine the air of limitless Fear will continue clouding your thoughts
You know you have placed million knots Your reckless wings will shred its feathers
Your breath will lose its numbers When fear is entwined with anxiety It inevitably slips into tragedy
If you had a close encounter with fear Your mind’s equanimity would have been in tear
Fear is wrapped in layers
It needs to be peeled in prayers
Fear is the mother of all evils
It heralds perpetual ills Overcome your fear
By sharing with someone dear
Face the fear
Which will be far or near
But will surely and suddenly disappear

4 months away!
NUMEROUS times I have sarcastically written about the Fiji men’s 7s team losing streak.
Not once have I mentioned to sack the coach. Now the guys at rugby house have supposedly ingeniously decided to replace the coach four months to the Olympics.
Yes, four months. Those clowns seem more lost than the outgoing coach. Kemudou!

A new era
THE Fiji Rugby Union finally announced the departure of Ben Gollings as head coach of the men’s national sevens team, replacing him with former captain and Fijian rugby legend Osea Kolinisau.
Although the announcement was a much anticipated one, it was not a surprise to the crazy rugby fans of Fiji across the globe.
After continuous dismal performances by the squad in the World Rugby Sevens Series, stretching their winless streak to 19 tournaments.
The only highlight of Gollings’ reign was the Rugby World Cup Sevens win in Cape Town in 2022, which I am grateful for.
However, the team lacks consistency and has a weak mentality for a team widely regarded as the sevens kings of the world.
Kolinisau has proven his worth during his playing days and is the current head coach of the China women’s national sevens team.
In just six months at the job, Kolinisau managed to win them the Asian Series for the first time in 23 years.
Both our men’s and women’s teams have been massively underperforming and I would not be surprised if our national women’s coach Saiasi Fuli is also shown the exit door soon.
As Ben Ryan called him, toso “Oscar”!

Thanks Ben
YOU tried your best but unfortunately could not succeed as a mentor and produce the desired outcomes.
I wish you all the best in your future sporting engagements. Welcome aboard Osea Kolinisau! The rugby ball is literally in your court now.
