TOURISM related developments on Nadi’s Fantasy Island have kicked off following the successful completion of its land development project.

Owner and managing director Abbas Ali said the initiation of more than $30million project would allow international and local visitors alike to enjoy a unique range of activities, the modern multi-million dollar property has to offer.

Apart from the construction of top-notch resort properties, Mr Ali also announced the establishment of a British-themed museum, an indoor sports complex and a music academia among other major popular tourism attractions.

“Part of the marine adventure park is already done, so the part that remains to be done is the restaurant and that entire area is a resort project,” Mr Ali explained.

“So we will have villas, a sevenacre garden and a restaurant which will be a central building and one that the public can also use and is on the island as well and we hope to start building by next month.

“This project will be a big building and one of its kind.”

The local investor said they hoped to commence construction once the weather cleared and materials have already being ordered thus far.

Mr Ali said the music academia boasts nine classrooms and a theatre performance hall with about 600 capacity seating arrangements.

“We will introduce music, writing music and singing and we are bringing some teachers from India to start with the learning of instruments.

“So that’s another big project and we are very excited about that one and with my background in teaching, I want some to leave something behind the that area.

“And next to that is the history museum and mostly focused on what we experienced during British time and the building will be of a unique design.”
