Gospel singers set to rock music lovers

- By WATA SHAW

GOSPEL music fans can expect to be moved by the soulful voices and heartfelt performances of renowned gospel artistes this Saturday, March 23 during the last day of the Fringe Festival 2024.

The “Seasons: A Night of Praise” concert will offer a diverse range of musical styles that celebrate faith and spirituality.

From powerful ballads to energetic praise songs, people can be prepared to be inspired and uplifted as the artists share messages of worship and praise through their music.

The 90-minute production will include solo artists, dance performances by the Nausori Interdenominational Youth Group (NIYG) and a choir of about 80 members made up of artists and the NIYG.

Artiste and organiser Fiji’s music sensation Savuto Vakadewavosa also known as Savuto, said the show served to provide artistes, both gospel and mainstream, an opportunity to celebrate faith.

“It’s been amazing watching the artists coming together and collaborating for a night like this,” Savuto said.

“This is my first time doing this kind of gospel show and it has been great, a wonderful learning experience working with youth leaders and artists in general.”

He acknowledged the support of fellow organisers in supporting local artistes.

He said artistes had been rehearsing for about a month to “touch the hearts of the audience and remind them of the power of God’s love and grace”.

The concert is supported by Savuto, M Media & Marketing, the Pacific Conference of Churches, The Festivals Company, and CK’s Suva Bargain Centre.
