MANY of those who enjoyed watching the American television (TV) series, Euphoria were deeply saddened to hear that one of its main actors, Angus Cloud, 25, had passed away late last year.
Mr Cloud began his acting career after featuring in a few local tv series and music videos namely The Perfect Women and Mamiii and Cigarettes.
In memory of her son, Lisa Cloud Mclaughin shared a few words of her son on Facebook.
“Although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death, his last day was a joyful one,” said Ms McLaughlin’s statement.
“He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college and also help his mum emotionally and financially,”
When we hugged goodnight, we said how much we loved each other, and he said he would see me in the morning.
Cloud was born in Oakland California and gained fame from featuring in Euphoria for his role as Fezco “FEZ” O’Neill, whose role was favoured by many youths all over the world.
While having no acting experience, the casting representatives for the show took notice while he was walking down the street in New York, which was where they took him on.
Angus was hesitant about joining the show at first as he thought it was a scam but changed his mind after meeting Euophoria’s casting director, Jennifer Venditti and Sam Levinson its series creator.
He then became the show’s co-star along with Zendaya Coleman which according to The Guardian, had screened two seasons.
Angus attended Oakland School for the Arts which was also attended by his Co-star Zendaya. The young actor had a humble beginning before his rise to fame. He worked at a local Chicken-and waffle restaurant after moving out of his home with his friends.
However, after gaining fame in his acting career Angus continued to go about living a simple life which was acknowledged by many of his friends.
He was once quoted saying,” “I’d rather people didn’t recognize me,” he said.
In memory of her son’s life, Ms Mclaughlin’s statement made a request for fans to “make random acts of kindness part of daily life.” He is survived by his twin sisters, Molly and Fiona.
