Associatio­n calls off meeting

Executives retain posts

THE Federated Airline Staff Associatio­n’s (FASA) 44th annual council meeting that was supposed to take place at the Tokatoka Resort in Nadi on Wednesday has been postponed since the quorum was not met.

ALL five national executives of the Federated Airlines Staff Associatio­n (FASA) have retained their positions following elections conducted by the Fijian Elections Office.

Associatio­n president Semisi Turagabale­ti retained his position as it was unchalleng­ed.

For the vice-president’s post, Teresia Balekoro retained it as she received 159 votes, 24 more than Shyam Sewak.

Associatio­n vice president Teresia Balekoro called off the meeting as only 43 members had signed in at the designated time of 5pm, which was extended for 30 minutes.
