Ce projet est une stratégie de création pour aborder le mystère et la dimension magique de l‘existence. L‘Occident, depuis René Descartes, vit une obsession objective, une ivresse rationnelle, un déni de magie. Cela est tout différent en Asie, en Afrique, en Amérique latine ou en Inde. L‘art est le seul espace non dogmatique, non religieux, où il semble possible d‘aborder un sujet aussi sensible que celui-là, un sujet qui se dérobe, par définition, aux tentatives d‘exploration. Le résultat de ce travail vise la création d‘un corpus de photographies ou, plus précisément, d’images créées offrant une réalité augmentée par les traitements informatiques. Ainsi, ces images revisitent : — le règne minéral : fragments de coraux, matières cosmiques, planètes. — le règne végétal : chou fractal, jack fruit, arbre du voyageur. — le règne animal : reptile albinos, méduse nutricola, oeuf d‘aepyornis. — les animaux mythiques : minotaure blanc, centaure zébré. — la biologie : cordon ADN, scanner de coeur, lobes cérébraux. Ce corpus d‘oeuvres est d‘une grande unité conceptuelle et plastique. Chacune d‘elles présente une composition identique : un sujet centré en suspension dans une lumière blanche. Les oeuvres sont entourées d‘un isolant en matière translucide, porcelaine organique, gaine de protection entre l‘image et son environnement immédiat. L‘installation et l‘éclairage de telles oeuvres imposent un dispositif de présentation calculé, aérien et silencieux. This project is a creative strategy for dealing with the mystery and magical dimension of existence. Ever since René Descartes, the West has been living through an objective obsession with rational drunkenness, a denial of magic. Things are very different in Asia, Africa, Latin America or India. Art is the only non-dogmatic, non-religious space where it seems possible to approach a subject as sensitive as this one, a subject that by definition evades attempts at exploration.The result of this work aims at the creation of a corpus of photographs or, more precisely, created images offering a reality heightened by computer. These images revisit: — the mineral kingdom: fragments of corals, cosmic materials, planets. — the vegetable kingdom: fractal cabbage, jack fruit, traveler’s tree. — the animal kingdom: albino reptile, nutricula jellyfish, aepyornis egg. — mythical animals: white minotaur, striped centaur. — biology: DNA chain, heart scanner, brain lobes. This corpus of works has great conceptual and visual unity. The composition of each piece is identical, with a centered subject suspended in white light. The works are surrounded by an insulant in translucent material, an organic porcelain, a protective sheath between the image and its immediate environment.
