GENDARMES OF THE WORLD Musée de la Gendarmerie nationale

Today 45 countries have a gendarmerie or assimilated force and in the Gendarmes of the World exhibition gendarmes (men-atarms) from around the world are being honoured. Historical pieces have been brought together for this show including 19th century uniforms from Turkish, Argentinian and Dutch forces. The show focuses in on the missions of the various forces around the world. From October 5 through to July 15

Actuellement, 45 pays possèdent une gendarmerie ou une force assimilée. L’exposition « Les gendarmeries du monde » met à l’honneur les gendarmes des quatre coins du monde. Des pièces historiques y sont présentées, dont des uniformes du XIXE siècle des forces turques, argentines et néerlandaises. Les missions de ces gendarmeries du monde sont ainsi mises en lumière.
