OUT OF THE WORLD

For the very first time 29 contemporary artists and 48 of their works are on display everywhere in the Abbaye de Saint-Riquier – abbey, gardens and new 800-sq. m exhibition space – following a theme which makes us rethink the place of animals in the reality of the world and in our collective imagination. The invited artists will show recent works and installations or works created while in residency there. Among them: Françoise Pétrovitch, Henri Cueco, Dector & Dupuy, Jan Fabre, Noureddine Ferroukhi, Gloria Friedmann, Lucy Glendinning, Karin Hellin, Jean Le Gac, Vladimir Velickovic, Sharif Waked. The music festival of Saint-Riquier will take place at the same time and with the same theme (7-12 July). A creation by choreographer and ornithologist Luc Petton and writer Pascal Quignard, the fruit of a residency at the Abbaye, will be shown this fall.
