MAJOR MODE

At Dries Van Noten, plant motifs (the flowers of the Vienna Secession movement, hibiscus, exotic palms…) coexist with tartan and plaid, python and croc print, dark palettes in block colors. The textures (boa scarf, velvet moto jacket, XXL sequins sown on bags or jackets, PVC raincoats…) are mixed, while intense colors collapse into each other. Skillful and complex associations that perfectly represent the designer’s essence. These party girls with their heavily made-up eyes seem to have just stepped out of a night-club, with all the louche elegance of nocturnal animals.
