The nose is aro­matic, el­e­gant, racy, pre­cise and finely pow­er­ful. It re­veals notes of black­berry, cas­sis and fine notes of un­der­growth as­so­ci­ated with dis­creet touches of straw­berry jam, choco­late, Bour­bon vanilla, corn­flower, a sub­tle hint of car­damom as well as a very dis­creet of truf­fle, an im­per­cep­ti­ble touch of pep­per (in the back­ground) and an im­per­cep­ti­ble hint of men­thol af­ter aer­a­tion. The palate is fruity, beau­ti­fully el­e­gant, nicely gour­mande and of­fers a fine juici­ness, a nice pre­ci­sion, straight­ness, juici­ness, a good struc­ture, a nice guide­line, a beau­ti­ful fi­nesse / del­i­cacy, depth­ness and a fine ten­sion. On the palate this wine ex­presses notes of fleshy black­berry, jammy cas­sis and straw­berry as­so­ci­ated with a touch of crushed blue­berry, choco­late, caramelized oak, a sub­tle hint of liquorice, vanilla as well as a hint of car­damom and sweet spices. Tan­nins are fine and well-built. Good length and good per­sis­tence. A good wine !
