The sound of Music
The UK’s top film soundtracks have been revealed. According to research commissioned by the Royal Albert Hall, the music to the 1997 classic Titanic topped the charts. Chariots of Fire came second in the poll, with Star Wars voted third, while Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone came in fourth. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy came in fifth. Artistic Director at the Royal Albert Hall, Lucy Noble, said: «You never forget a great film score: from the epic to the intimate, movie music has an unparalleled ability to evoke emotion.»
