Benedict Cumberbatch will become an ageless teacher in an upcoming movie adaptation of How to Stop Time. The Sherlock actor acquired the film rights to Matt Haig’s novel, which isn’t even out yet, through his SunnyMarch production company. How to Stop Time tells the story of Tom Hazard (Cumberbatch), a seemingly normal 41-year-old history teacher who has been alive for centuries. As well as winning the lead role, Cumberbatch will executive produce the project alongside Canongate CEO Jamie Byng.
