Ruth Davidson

Ruth Davidson, the Scottish Tory leader, who is considered a rising star among Conservatives, has urged her party to adopt a more liberal outlook to attract younger voters. During a conference in London, she stated that voting for the Tories had “become countercultural for many people in Britain.” She also said: “if we want the Union to flourish, indeed the UK to continue, then we need to work at it, to embrace change, and to think harder about how to do so”.
